The purpose of this qualification is to enable you to progress within the business administration sector. This qualification is appropriate for you if in your day-to-day work role you are in a business administration role and will develop your skills, competence and knowledge of business administration. You will be assessed in the workplace. You must be 16 years and above to start this qualification. You do not need specific prior learning or qualifications to take this qualification.
The Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration is a combined knowledge and competency qualification. This means that the qualification assesses competence, skills, knowledge and understanding. The Business Administration Diplomas provide learners working in an administrative occupation (including Business Administration apprentices) with a nationally accredited qualification.
The qualifications provide learners with the opportunity to gain recognition of their skills in a wide range of administrative tasks; and to develop knowledge & skills in more challenging activities, such as event co-ordination and project management. With the inclusion of a wide range of optional units the learner can tailor their qualification to suit their individual role and the needs of their employer.
This qualification is made up of units that will develop your skills, knowledge and understanding, needed to work in a business administration role. You will complete five mandatory units that focus on the core skills and knowledge you will need and selectoptional units that reflect your current or planned job role. Your choice of optional units may include negotiating in a business environment, providing administrative support for meetings, organisation of an event, use of software and shorthand.
